This site has started to get a lot more traffic than usual because of my damn microwave meals reviews, so there will be a few of you who have ventured here who have never met me or even know who I am.
Because a lot more people are reading my stuff than I thought, I thought I’d write up a little fact sheet about myself so you can get to know me and learn that I am not just a microwave meal eater (although I do wish that was my actual paying day job, that’s the dream).
I’ve literally just copied these from various tumblr posts and tried to answer as many as I can.
Forest green and navy blue are my absolute top picks, but I’m not too fussy with colour. I love them all.
Tash, Hoysenberry, Microwave Queen.
Do you have any hobbies? What Are They?
Writing is basically my only hobby, whether that be stand up comedy, freelance writing, writing plays, reviewing microwaveable food, revealing journal entries, literally anytime I am able to note down anything and everything, I’m happy. I also enjoy watching movies just for the sake of logging them on Letterboxd (which is a thing you should get if you don’t already have it.)
What do you do for a living?
Various things, too many things. I work in theatre which means I jump from show to show whenever I’m done with one. I stage manage, produce, operate and sometimes perform too but usually when I’m performing it’s stand up comedy. I also work as an usher at a theatre.
I have a few favourite movies but they’re all vastly different genres so it feels wrong to pick a favourite from them. My listed favourites on Letterboxd are: Eagle vs Shark, Labyrinth, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and The Orphanage. I also really love Xanadu and it would’ve been number 5.
I just finished reading Big Little Lies and LOVED it, it’s immediately become one of my favourites. My favourite series is I Am Not Esther by Fleur Beale.
When people walk slowly in front of me, I don’t know why it makes me so angry.
All of my teeth falling out, dropping a baby, being stuck in an elevator, vomiting in public, accidentally killing someone.
Pineapple on pizza, yes or no?
What is your favourite musical?
Xanadu. And I haven’t seen it, but I love Sara Bareilles’ soundtrack for Waitress.
What is your star sign?
Have your pants ever fallen down in public?
A boy pulled my pants down whilst I was swinging on monkey bars in primary school and I cried for 4 hours. When I told a teacher about it she just laughed at me.
I’m a big fan of NZ musicians and my favourites are Marlon Williams, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Ladyhawke, The Phoenix Foundation, and Conan Mockasin. I also really love 80’s pop and power ballads.
